Escape Academy 2 Back 2 School Walkthrough: Chapter 1

The documented Escape Academy 2 Back 2 School walkthrough covers the refreshed demo's first chapter: No Ticket, A Clued Awakening, campus orientation and That Rings a Bell. Start at the tram station, complete the introductory escapes, and follow the campus activities toward the Clocktower. The route below distinguishes that demonstrated Chapter 1 sequence from later full-game content.

Start with the refreshed Chapter 1 demo

Use the official Steam demo rather than the first Escape Academy when following this route. The sequel's opening includes the trip to the Academy, a classroom escape and exploration between puzzle rooms. Those activities establish the chapter's structure without requiring codes or room knowledge from the 2022 game.

The recorded chaptered reference was published on May 30, 2026, by Fredericma45 Gaming. Its chapter labels identify where each activity begins in that recording, giving you a useful way to locate the room you are playing. A video timestamp measures the recording's position, so it should never be read as an expected clear time or a target grade.

Complete No Ticket at the tram station

No Ticket is the opening station and tram tutorial, with the practical objective of obtaining a ticket and boarding transport to the Academy. The developer added this introduction to teach interactions before the classroom's more intense escape. In the chaptered demo recording, the creator marks this part at 03:48.

The captioned June playthrough shows the players finding ticket funds and comparing intersections on a coloured tram map. They then work through another station mechanism before receiving the boarding announcement. Use those landmarks to identify your current task, and compare the map's visible colours and symbols rather than applying an unexplained numeric input from another recording.

Follow A Clued Awakening's classroom evidence

A Clued Awakening is the founders-themed classroom escape that follows the opening travel sequence. Its progression connects room clues, a schedule, projector slides and suit symbols to a final quiz. The May recording places the start of this room at 13:26, which helps separate it from the earlier tram tutorial.

Two captioned demo sessions support the schedule-and-telephone portion of the room: arrange the activities chronologically and follow the resulting telephone instruction. The recordings use 772 at that stage before continuing with the slides. This is a documented demo clue, and the October update's revised clue presentation means you should still read the instruction in your installed version.

Use orientation to understand the campus

After the classroom, the walkthrough moves into orientation and student activities around the Academy. The May creator's chapter marker places Student Orientation at 20:11, between the opening escape and the later Clocktower section. This part of the route introduces the surrounding campus rather than another interchangeable classroom lock.

Keep campus assignments separate from the named escape rooms when checking your progress. A player completing a student task may be following the chapter correctly even though they have not entered the next exam. That distinction is especially useful if a recording spends time exploring or talking to students before returning to the main puzzle sequence.

Recognize Extra Credit and exploration detours

The campus portion includes student tasks, money and opportunities to move between areas, as described in the hands-on material collected for this walkthrough. These activities explain why the route is more than a consecutive list of sealed rooms. When using the video as a reference, identify whether the player is advancing an escape, exploring the hub or completing a campus task.

Extra Credit, collectibles and main escapes belong to different kinds of progress, even when they happen in the same area. Treating every optional interaction as a mandatory room solution makes the route harder to follow. Use the dedicated side-quest and Escape Bucks guides for their own systems, and return here when you need the overall first-chapter order.

Reach That Rings a Bell in the Clocktower

That Rings a Bell is the Clocktower escape later in Chapter 1, marked at 1:07:42 in the May video. Its identity matters because searches for the demo tower can also refer to the Headmaster's Tower hub. Match the named room and its clock mechanisms before following a puzzle-specific explanation.

For the seasonal mechanism, relate each labelled season to the observed sun position rather than interpreting the mechanism as an arbitrary gear combination. A later clock-and-letter clue depends on the lens and on seeing the clock from inside the tower. The developer's perspective clarification explains the apparently reversed Roman numerals; the separate Clocktower article develops that reasoning without inventing a final melody.

Match older footage to the October update

The October 16 developer update explicitly names A Clued Awakening and That Rings a Bell as rooms receiving clue and user-experience changes. That makes the recording date relevant when a visible clue differs from your screen. Use older gameplay to understand the relationship between objects, while letting the current in-game clue determine the actual input you enter.

The same update includes performance work, localization fixes and removal of automatic save wiping at the end of the demo. Those changes concern the demonstration build, so they should not be confused with a complete launch-game walkthrough. They also explain why a recent installation can behave differently from a first-release demo described in an older article.

Keep a clear note of the stage you are playing

When following a chaptered recording, note the room name and the specific object you are investigating before moving the video ahead. A timestamp is useful for finding that segment again, but the room's objective is what connects it to your own playthrough. This is especially helpful between the classroom and Clocktower, where the recorded route includes campus activity.

Use separate notes for a clue you have read and an action the recorded player merely attempts. The captioned June playthrough includes mistakes, so a spoken suggestion is not automatically a successful input. Keeping those observations separate makes it easier to return to the actual clue when the same mechanism appears in a later, updated demo build.

Compare your objective with the recorded route

The main room sequence and the exploration between rooms answer different kinds of progress questions. If your current objective names a student or campus activity, first locate that part of the route rather than skipping directly to the next escape's final mechanism. The recording's orientation marker provides a reference point for that middle portion without turning every exploratory interaction into a required solution.

If your current objective is a classroom or clock mechanism, move to the corresponding room explanation and inspect its stated evidence. The schedule, founder suits, seasonal sun positions and inside-clock perspective each belong to a specific clue relationship. Treating the chapter as a series of those identifiable problems is more dependable than copying an undifferentiated list of attempted inputs from beginning to end.

Pick the next guide for your actual obstacle

If you are still at the station, continue with No Ticket and its ticket, map and boarding objectives. If you have reached the classroom, use A Clued Awakening for the schedule, slides and founders logic. If your screen contains the seasonal mechanisms or an inside view of the clock, the Clocktower puzzle guide is the relevant next page.

For a broader tower-navigation question, the demo-tower guide separates hub activities from the exam room and supplies the recorded orientation reference. This keeps access questions and detailed puzzle questions from being mixed into one misleading answer. Follow the chapter by recognizable rooms and objectives, then use the specific article that addresses the clue currently in front of you.
